Saturday, April 01, 2017 Kite Fest Louisiane West Baton Rouge Soccer Complex, Port Allen, LA  –  Named “Festival of the Year” by the Louisiana Travel Promotion Association, Kite Fest Louisiane brings professional kite fliers and hobbyists alike to Port Allen in West Baton Rouge Parish. Great family fun is always on tap at the annual Kite Fest Louisiane’, where the skies are filled with kites of all sizes and shapes.
Inflatables, face painting, a kite-making workshop and kite designing are just some of the activities for children. Bring the entire family, some lawn chairs and enjoy a day of kite flying, Louisiana food booths and indoor flying performed by indoor flying champions. Admission is Free.
Saturday, April 01, 2017 Whitewater Mesa Fun Kite Flying Picnic Glenwood, NM – Gather up your family and friends and come to Glenwood and join us for the Whitewater Mesa Fun Kite Flying Picnic. Last year 123 people joined us so there is plenty of space without fences to tangle your kite strings, and room to park for your tailgate picnic. Admission is free and there will be a free raffle drawing for a kite at 2.30pm, so be sure to pick up your raffle ticket on arrival at the gate with the labyrinth sign. While you are here and for a completely different experience, walk one or all five of the labyrinths and a maze across the road at Whitewater Mesa Labyrinths.
BRING: your picnic, your kite, your laughter, the whole family and all your friends, your sunhat and something to sit on.
WE PROVIDE: Water, kite mending supplies, a Johnny on the Spot porta-pottie, loaner kites. Admission is free.
Saturday, April 29, 2017 Kites over Enid Festival Enid, OK – There was one common complaint from participants in the 2016 Kites Over Enid festival – Why isn’t this event being held over both days of the weekend? After the success of the Saturday-only 2016 event, 2017’s version of Kites Over Enid will be a full weekend of kite flying.

Kites Over Enid 2017 will be held April 29-30 at the Richard Dermer Memorial Flying Field behind Autry Technology Center. April is National Kite Month, and the goal of Kites Over Enid is to introduce – or reintroduce – the joy of flying a kite to children and adults alike.
