The Boka Boka Kite
A simple paper-fold Philippine sled kite.
You will need for each kite:
- 1 Sheet of copier paper (8 1/2 x 11);
- A lenght of sewing thread 44" for bridle.
You will need for each group:
- Scotch Tape
- Crayons or Markers to decorate the sail
- More sewing thread for flying line
Now let's begin...
- Make 2 8 1/2" lines parallel to the short side each 2 3/4" in from the ends
- Mark two bridle connection points: a 1" line parallel to the long side 2 1/8" down from the long edge extending to the edges of the paper.
- Lay the bridle ends along the 1" line and secure them with a 1" piece of scotch tape.
- Tie a small loop in the exact center of the bridle.
- Fold up the side wings 90° along the 8 1/2" lines drawn in step 1.
- Decorate kite sails
- Attach a length of flying line (5' or so) to the bridle loop.
